Creo Collective

After the 2018 merger, the Creo Collective was born. Its purpose was to unite art galleries at all 3 UW-Stevens Point campuses. The Creo Collective runs and manages the galleries. They are a group of creatives dedicated to cultivating curiosity, exchanging ideas, and striving to push thought-provoking interdisciplinary concepts. They strive to keep shows exciting, innovative, and interesting. ‘Creo’ comes from the word create in Latin. ‘Collective’ refers to the group of people working in the gallery. Another designer and I worked closely together to reorganize the pre-merger system. We wanted to align the actions of the curators with their goals for the galleries, work towards engaging a larger section of the public, and allow space for creativity to flourish.
